David Downey is a Past Detachment Commander of the Detachment of New York (2001-2002). He was elected to serve as the National Vice Commander for the Eastern Region in August 2008 at the National Sons of the American Legion Convention in Pheonix, AZ.
Membership
As of February 11th, the Eastern Region sits in 3rd place in membership with 93,673 members (74.7%) paid out of our year-end membership goal of 125,398 members.
